Striker United, Wayne Rooney, explaining that they can beat any team when playing at Old Trafford, and eager to be part of the team that took over the league champions of Liverpool's record.
"We always expected to win games when playing at home but we were always sure to win, no matter who our opponent," Rooney said in Inside United.
"As a player, I also feel it in the dressing room. Feelings of fear before the game started. As the host team, we have the psychological advantage from the opponent before the match began. We were pretty sure to beat any opponent that we face."
If United's win against West Ham in a match that will take place on Saturday (2 / 4) at Upton Park, then United will lead eight points in league standings and won the league title for the 19th time, surpassing the record of Liverpool who have won league titles as much as 18 times.
"I grew up as an Everton fan, and become part of a team that will take over a record victory Liverpool becomes something quite wonderful. It will mean so much good for us as players and the fans,"added Rooney.
"I've thought about it long enough and I also know that all the Everton fans want so we can achieve victory. I hope we can do it," he added.
"If you look at every game at this stage, you should be able to enjoy it, especially if you have chance to win some championship trophies this season."
